Let’s take a look at some of the things we do in fellowship meetings, and how we can take these out into our everyday life.We need to be taking our faith and our knowledge of God out into the world – that is where we are able to shine as lights
"That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;". (Philippians 2:15)
Being a Christian is not just about coming to fellowship once or twice a week. It is about what you do and say in your everyday life. God doesn’t just turn up twice a week to fellowship, or to church on a Sunday. He is a 24/7 God.
Whilst what we do in the church is a great and necessary thing, it is not all we should be doing.
The fellowship provides a safe and easy environment in which to be a Christian. It is where we are able to exhort, encourage and teach each other, it is where we get built up – but we shouldn’t forget that once we have been taught and built up, we need to go out there and do our job.
